100% cotton fabric with soft, yet sturdy elastic that fits around the head so there is no pressure on the ears.
Each Art by Ali Abstract mask is hand made and has a pocket on the inside where a filter can be inserted. Coffee filters fit in perfectly, as do the hospital paper masks.
Elastic is inserted in side tabs; it is not sewn in so it can be replaced as needed. (Elastic may be different from that shown in photos.)
All fabric is pre-washed before being made; please wash, dry & press before each wearing.
To wear, put bottom elastic on first by pulling mask over your head so it comes to the back of your neck; fit mask to face, and place top elastic behind your head to secure mask in place.
Each mask is unique due to cut and layout of fabric.

Wash separately in cool water using a gentle machine cycle. Machine dry using a low temperature or permanent press setting; press to make it look fresh again.

Your face mask is made with 100% cotton pre-washed fabric. Each mask is made by Alice, from the cutting and sewing through final assembly. No starch or other chemicals were used. Each mask is unique due to the layout and cut of the abstract patterns, as well as the inside fabrics, so your mask will be different from the ones shown in photos.
Because of the metal band at the nose fold and the elastic, it is suggested that you wash on gentle cycle and machine dry at low setting or let air dry. Light pressing will restore the fresh look to your mask. The elastic may be tightened or replaced, if necessary. The metal band can easily be removed and replaced with a 6“ pipe cleaner folded in half to give flexibility.
Suggested filters to fit into the filter pocket are: cone coffee filters (1 is enclosed with your mask); flexible painters’ mask (may need to be cut down to fit, and gives a nice shape to the mask’s front); pleated mask you used to receive at the doctor’s office. These masks are not guaranteed to protect you; they are worn to protect others from your coughs and sneezes, and to help you avoid touching your own face.
